WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The No. 13-ranked West Liberty men close out the regular season today against Ohio County rival Wheeling. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. inside the ASRC.

Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (23-4, 18-3) locked up their third straight outright MEC title on Wednesday night with an 86-72 decision at Notre Dame.

Pat Robinson III added 21 as WLU earned its 17th win in the last 18 games.
The Cardinals (14-11, 11-10) had won 5 of their last 7 before Wednesday's 74-67 upset loss at last-place Urbana. Wheeling was paced by Jarett Haines' 18 points.
This is the 161st meeting between the neighboring rivals since then-Wheeling College made its men's basketball debut in the 1958-59 season.
West Liberty has won 21 of the last 27 matchups and 28 of the last 35 to take a commanding 91-69 lead in the all-time series. That includes a 98-86 Hilltopper win on Jan. 26 at the McDonough Center behind 28 points and 13 rebounds from
Dalton Bolon.
