BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Liberty women head south today to take on a West Virginia Wesleyan team that has fallen on hard times. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. inside Rockefeller Arena.
Fans of the Black and Gold who can't make it to the game will be able to follow all the action right here with a link to access TopperStation's live video stream along with real-time stats and full game notes provided by the WLU Sports Information Department.
Coach Kyle Cooper's Hilltoppers (7-12, 3-10) look to bounce back from a heartbreaking 71-69 loss to Davis & Elkins on Wednesday. Taylor Johnson had 20 points and Grace Fodor added a dozen only to see the Senators hit the game-winner with 3 seconds left.
The Bobcats (3-16, 1-12) dropped their 14th straight on Wednesday, coming out on the short end of a 77-64 tally at Wheeling. Wesleyan got 21 points from Courtney Wilfong and 16 more from Nicole Gilyard in the loss.
This is the 54th meeting between the programs since the 1981-82 season. West Liberty holds a commanding 37-16 series lead. That includes an 82-51 Hilltopper romp in this season's initial encounter on Dec. 4 at the ASRC.
