    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty women renew acquaintances with a long-time foe tonight when they host Fairmont State at the ASRC. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.

    The Hilltoppers just missed upsetting defending MEC champion Glenville on Saturday in a wild 114-108 shootout. Morgan Brunner rained in 7 3-pointers and a game-high 33 points while Audrey Tingle had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to key the effort.
    The Falcons were held to 16 first-half points in a 74-55 loss at league-leading Notre Dame on Saturday. Rachel Laskody topped FSU with 17 points.
    This is the 80th meeting between the two programs since women's basketball became an official West Virginia Conference sport in 1981. The Hilltoppers swept both games a year ago and have won 10 of the last 13 encounters to open up a 43-36 lead in the series.
