| Box Score 2     The West Liberty University men's tennis team closed out its regular season slate on Saturday by splitting a pair of non-conference matches in eastern Pennsylvania.
    Coach Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers (11-10), ranked No. 9 in the Atlantic Region, handed Kutztown a 4-0 setback in the first match before dropping a 4-1 decision at Bloomsburg.
    In the early match at Kutztown, West Liberty won the doubles point and picked up three quick wins in singles play to hand the host Golden Bears their 15th loss in 16 outings.
    Anton Schulz and Mauk Smit got the win at No. 2 doubles with Akira Kawabata and Nash Morris sealing the doubles point by a 6-4 count in the No. 3 slot.
    Kawabata sprinted off to a 6-0 6-0 win at No. 5 singles and Morris breezed to a 6-1 6-2 nod at No. 6 singles. Smit closed out the match with a superbreaker win at No. 4 singles after he and Kutztown's Benjamin Kelly had split the first two sets.
    At Bloomsburg, Schulz and Smit again teamed up for a convincing 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles but the host Huskies (8-6) pulled out tight decisions in the other two matches to claim the doubles point.
    Schulz dominated Oliver Wiesemann at No. 3 singles with a 6-1 6-2 win but Bloomsburg picked up straight-set wins at Nos. 4, 5 and 6 singles to close out the match. The Hilltoppers' Joris Gravoulet was leading his No. 2 singles match when play was halted.
    West Liberty returns to action this weekend in the Mountain East Conference tournament. Play gets under way Friday at the outdoor courts on the campus of Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va.
