No. 7 West Liberty Looks to Rebound

    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The No. 7-ranked West Liberty men look to move one step closer to another conference championship on Wednesday when they welcome West Virginia Wesleyan to the hilltop. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the ASRC.

    Coach Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (20-3, 16-2), the defending Mountain East Conference champions, have a 2-game lead over the MEC pack with only four games remaining as they pursue their ninth league title in the past 10 years. West Liberty had a 13-game winning streak broken by Charleston on Saturday in an 88-87 overtime upset despite a career-high 30 points from senior forward Eric Meininger.
    The Bobcats (10-14, 7-11) battled WLU to the wire in November before falling by an 80-71 count. They are coming off an 85-68 loss at Notre Dame on Saturday. Daylin Lee led WVWC with 17 points while Luke Petrovic added 15.
