    CHARLESTON, W.Va. – An early-season showdown between two Mountain East Conference powers is on top tonight when the No. 22-ranked West Liberty men make the drive south to Charleston. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Wehrle Center.

    Coach Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (6-2, 3-1) are coming off a 103-73 romp at Davis & Elkins on Saturday. Pat Robinson III tossed in a game-high 21 points off the bench to pace six double-figure scorers while Dalton Bolon just missed a double-double with 14 points and 9 rebounds.
    The Golden Eagles (6-2, 2-2) remained unbeaten at home with a 107-87 rout of Frostburg State behind Eddie Colbert's 28 points and 15 rebounds.
    This is the 104th meeting between the long-time rivals. Charleston holds a 58-45 series lead but West Liberty has won 22 of the last 26 encounters
    The teams traded road wins a year ago. The Hilltoppers prevailed, 98-89, in January at the Wehrle Center but UC pulled off an 88-87 overtime upset in the February rematch inside the ASRC
