ATHENS, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team closed out the regular season in dominant fashion here Saturday morning, rolling to a 3-0 sweep of Concord on the Mountain Lions' home court.

Kayla Mull's Hilltoppers (17-14, 9-7) were in control from the opening serve of the first set and coasted to a 25-15 win. Concord (10-21, 4-12) kept things close at the start of the second set, taking an 11-10 lead, but WLU scored 11 of the next 13 points to open up a 21-13 bulge and breezed to a 25-17 win before closing up shop with a 25-12 blowout in the third set.
Caitlin Clarke had 15 kills to lead the Hilltoppers at the net while
Madison Clayton posted a .643 hitting percentage with 10 kills and
Olivia Baumhoer added 9 kills.
Renee Lemke and
Kendall Souder had 23 and 14 assists, respectively, while
Kailee Cunningham charted 17 digs and
Mackenzie Sims finished with 15 digs and a match-high 4 service aces.
The Lady Hilltoppers return to action on Thursday when they open play in the MEC Tournament at Wheeling's McDonough Center. Seedings and match times will be announced on Sunday.
