    AMHERST, N.Y. – The unbeaten and No. 4-ranked West Liberty men make the long trek north to the Empire State this afternoon to take on No. 22 Daemen in an early-season clash of NCAA Division II Top 25 powers. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at Lumsden Gymnasium.

    Coach Ben Howlett's Black and Gold (2-0) capped a sweep of the Atlantic Region Challenge on Sunday with a 132-85 thrashing of Shaw (N.C.) in Charlotte. Pat Robinson III and Dalton Bolon led West Liberty with 22 and 20 points, respectively, as no Hilltopper starter played more than 18 minutes.
    The Wildcats (4-1) won their fourth straight game Thursday, edging defending NCAA Division II Atlantic Region champion Mercyhurst (Pa.), 67-65. All-American center Andrew Sischo had 22 points and Joey Wallace added 18 for the hosts.
