INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Liberty University football team steps into the sunshine for the first time in nearly a month this afternoon when the Black and Gold travel to West Virginia State. Kickoff for WVSU's annual Homecoming Game is set for 1 p.m. at historic Lakin Field.
Coach
Roger Waialae's Hilltoppers (2-2, 2-2) are coming off a 43-20 blowout of Glenville State last week while the fast-rising Yellow Jackets (3-1, 3-0) remained unbeaten in MEC play by rallying to a 33-23 victory at Concord on Saturday.
The teams have played every season since 1957 with the Hilltoppers holding a 42-19-1 lead in the all-time series.
