    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – A high-scoring West Virginia State squad will test the No. 12-ranked West Liberty men Thursday night as Mountain East Conference action swings back into high gear on the hilltop.
    Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the ASRC.

    Coach Ben Howlett's Hilltoppers (9-2, 5-1) have been idle since outlasting Tiffin (Ohio), 97-89, in their final non-conference tilt on Dec. 30. Freshman guards Will Yoakum and Yahel Hill combined for 45 points while Eric Meininger posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
    The Yellow Jackets (5-7, 2-4) saw their 3-game winning streak go by the boards on Sunday when they dropped an 83-76 decision at once-beaten Chowan (N.C.). Pat Johnson-Agwu and Gus Stone led the way with 23 and 19 points, respectively.
