WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team dropped a 5-1 decision to Edinboro (Pa.) Thursday afternoon in a non-conference match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
The Fighting Scots took two of the three doubles matches and closed out the match with three singles wins. The other singles matches were halted once the visitors had clinched the victory.
Camilo Moncayo and Daniel Nogareda provided a bright spot for Coach
Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers with a convincing 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles against Edinboro's top doubles tandem of Vitor Albanese and Christian Roettger.
The West Liberty men are scheduled to return to Mountain East Conference action on Saturday when they host Charleston in a 1 p.m. match.
