    WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday with a 9-0 shutout of West Virginia State in a Mountain East Conference match at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
    Coach Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers (9-8, 4-3) sprinted out to an early lead by sweeping all three doubles matches and didn't lose a set in singles play to complete the sweep of the outmanned Yellow Jackets (1-14, 0-8).
    It was the final home conference match for WLU's senior trio of Zach Kirkwood, Hayden Blazer and Luke Flanagan with all three seniors picked up singles and doubles wins to store in their memory banks.
    Flanagan teamed with Vincent Huynh for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles while Blazer and Kirkwood combined to pitch an 8-0 shutout at No. 3 doubles.
    Blazer rolled to a 6-0 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles while Kirkwood prevailed by identical 6-2 6-2 scores in his No. 5 singles match. Flanagan lost only one game in posting a 6-1 6-0 win at No. 6 singles.
    Huynh, Nick Liddy and Matt Lynch also collected straight-set wins in singles play for WLU with Liddy and Lynch providing West Liberty's other point with an 8-0 whitewash at No. 1 doubles.
    The Hilltoppers close out their regular-season schedule on Monday with a 3 p.m. non-conference match against Salem International at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.
