Box Score SALEM, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team breezed to a 3-0 sweep of Salem International Monday night in a non-conference match at the T. Ed Davis Gym.
Coach Kayla Mull's Hilltoppers (8-6) jumped on the host Tigers (2-14) early with a 25-13 win in the opening set and never looked back, closing out the match with 25-16 and 25-18 decisions in the final two sets.
Olivia Baumhoer had 11 kills to lead the Black and Gold attack while
Raimey Benson weighed in with 8 kills and 3 blocks.
Caitlin Clarke and
Sydney Scherer finished with 6 and 5 kills, respectively.
Kendall Souder posted a double-double with a match-high 18 assists and 10 digs while
Kailee Cunningham led all players with 19 digs.
The West Liberty women return to Mountain East Conference action this weekend with a 6 p.m. match at Fairmont State on Friday followed by a 4 p.m. match at Shepherd on Saturday.
