WLU Volleyball Sweeps W.Va. State

INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team wrapped up regular-season play with a flourish here Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 3-0 sweep of West Virginia State on the Yellow Jackets' home court.
Coach Kayla Mull's Hilltoppers (22-13, 10-6) came out smoking with a 25-16 win in the opening set and never looked back, closing out the sweep in the next two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-20.
Amanda Leonard had 7 kills, 9 assists and 4 blocks for the winners while Raimey Benson added 7 kills, an ace and 3 blocks. Sydney Scherer had 5 blocks to go along with 5 kills with Olivia Baumhoer contributing 5 kills and a pair of blocks.
Miranda Garmenn led the team with 13 assists and Kailee Cunningham had a team-high 15 digs.
