WLU Volleyball Falls at Pitt-Johnstown

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 non-conference decision at Pitt-Johnstown Tuesday night.

Coach Kayla Fetsko-Mull's Lady Hilltoppers (3-6) split the first two sets with the Mountain Cats (6-2) only to see UPJ close things out with 25-13 and 25-21 decisions in the next two sets.

Amanda Leonard stuffed the stat sheet for West Liberty with 20 assists, 15 digs, 6 kills and 3 blocks while Stephanie Leonard had a team-high 8 kills.

In addition, Michaela Hawkins had 6 kills and 2 blocks, Alexis Boyd added 10 digs and a pair of service aces, Courtney Pyeritz was charted with a team-high 17 digs and Miranda Garmenn had 10 assists.

West Liberty returns home to host Shippensburg and Seton Hill on Friday on the first day of the MEC/PSAC Challenge. The matches are set for 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., respectively, at the ASRC.
