Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team kept things close Friday night but couldn't get over the hump as a talented Charleston squad remained tied for second place in the Mountain East Conference with a 3-0 win at the ASRC.
The Golden Eagles (19-8, 13-2) started strong with a 25-19 win in the opening set and came from behind in the second set to take control with a 25-21 decision. Coach Kayla Fetsko-Mull's Hilltoppers (14-17, 7-8) battled UC to the wire in the third set only to come out on the short end of a 25-19 tally.
The Hilltoppers close out the regular season at home on Saturday with an 11 a.m. Senior Day match against West Virginia State.
