Box Score WHEELING, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team saw its six-match winning streak come to an end here Thursday night as No. 7-ranked Wheeling Jesuit rolled to a 3-0 win at the McDonough Center.
Coach Kayla Fetsko-Mull's Hilltoppers (9-9, 2-1) put up a good fight but couldn't string enough points together to cool off the host Cardinals (16-4, 4-0), who have never lost a Mountain East Conference match. Jesuit won the three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-15.
Stephanie Leonard led West Liberty with 10 kills while
Alexis Boyd added 8 kills and a dozen digs.
Miranda Garmenn paced WLU with 17 assists and
Courtney Pyeritz topped the Black and Gold with 13 digs.
The Lady Hilltoppers return home to host UVA-Wise on Friday in a 7 p.m. match at the ASRC.
