Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team couldn't overcome a slow start here Friday night and dropped a 3-1 decision to UVA-Wise in Mountain East Conference action at the ASRC.
Coach Kayla Fetsko-Mull's Hilltoppers (9-10, 2-2) dug themselves into an early hole by dropping the first two sets by scores of 25-13 and 25-23. The Black and Gold rebounded with a 25-21 victory in the third set only to see the Cavaliers (7-7, 3-0) come from behind late in the fourth set to wrap things up with a 25-23 verdict.
West Liberty will be idle over the weekend but hits the road next Friday for a 6 p.m. match at Fairmont State.
