Box Score BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team rolled into Rockefeller Arena Tuesday night and rolled out little more than an hour later with a convincing 3-0 sweep of West Virginia Wesleyan.
Coach Kayla Fetsko-Mull's Hilltoppers (10-12, 3-4) fought off six consecutive set points in rallying to a 26-24 win in the opening set and then scored the first five points of the second set en route to a crushing 25-11 win. The Black and Gold finished off the Bobcats (8-12, 2-5) with a 25-20 nod in the third and final set.
Amanda Leonard had a double-double for WLU with 12 kills and 15 assists while twin sister
Stephanie Leonard just missed a double-double of her own with a dozen kills and 9 digs.
Alexis Boyd also posted a double-double with 11 kills and 19 digs.
Miranda Garmenn led the Hilltoppers
with 20 assists while
Courtney Pyeritz posted a match-high 20 digs.
West Liberty returns to action on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Glenville State.
