Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team suffered its first Mountain East Conference loss of the season Tuesday night as No. 6-ranked Wheeling Jesuit muscled out a 3-0 in an early season meeting of the MEC unbeaten at the ASRC.
Coach Kayla Fetsko's Hilltoppers (5-10, 3-1) couldn't maintain any momentum against the nationally-ranked Cardinals (15-1, 4-0), who are coming off a run to the NCAA Division II national semifinals a year ago. Jesuit swept the three sets by scores of 25-13, 25-14 and 25-9. The Lady Hilltoppers will try to get back in the winner's circle on Friday when they host Shepherd in a 7 p.m. match at the ASRC.
