                     FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team closed out regular season play here Thursday with a 9-0 rout of Fairmont State.
    Coming off a 9-0 romp past West Virginia State on Tuesday, Coach 
Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers (6-12, 3-4) didn't lose a set in rolling to their second straight shutout win.
    Andrew Ponder, 
Alex Hayden, Pedro Cimorra, Brandon Galici and Nick Conforti earned singles wins for West Liberty, which also picked up a forfeit win at No. 6 singles. Ponder teamed with Cimorra for the win at No. 1 doubles while Hayden and Kirkwood rolled at No. 2 doubles.
    The Hilltoppers are expected to be the No. 5 seed when the inaugural Mountain East Conference tournament gets under way in Charleston next week.
