WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University men's tennis team finished off its home slate in impressive fashion Tuesday afternoon, dominating West Virginia State in a 9-0 whitewashing at the Edgar Martin Tennis Complex.

Sam McCullough's Hilltoppers didn't lose a game in singles or doubles action against the outmanned Yellow Jackets, picking up five straight-set 6-0 6-0 wins in singles play to go along with a pair of 8-0 shutouts in doubles competition. West Liberty picked up forfeit wins at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
Posting singles victories for the Hilltoppers were Andrew Ponder,
Alex Hayden, Pedro Cimorra, Brandon Galici and Nick Conforti. Ponder and Cimorra teamed up for the win at No. 1 doubles with Galici and Hayden prevailing at No. 2 doubles.
West Liberty wraps up the regular season on Thursday with a 4 p.m. match at Fairmont State before heading to the Mountain East Conference championships, April 18-20 in Charleston.
