WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Day with a 3-0 rout of Urbana on Saturday and the WLU seniors played a major role in the sweep.

Coach Kayla Fetsko's Hilltoppers (11-16, 7-7) took control early with a 25-22 win in the opening set and went on to win the second set by an identical 25-22 count. The Black and Gold finished off the Blue Knights (13-15, 9-6) with a flourish, wrapping things up with a 25-14 blowout in the third set.

Seniors Chelsea Bertie, Nicole Sadecky and Chelsea Byrge were honored on Saturday and the veteran trio spent the rest of the afternoon in the spotlight.

Bertie led all players with a match-high 17 kills while Sadecky had a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Byrge led all players with 28 assists to go along with 4 kills, a block and a service ace. Courtney Pyeritz was charted with a match-high 17 digs.

The West Liberty women close out the regular season on the road next week with a Tuesday night match at Fairmont State and a Thursday night match at Shepherd.
