Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Day with a 3-0 rout of Urbana on Saturday and the WLU seniors played a major role in the sweep.
Coach
Kayla Fetsko's Hilltoppers (11-16, 7-7) took control early with a 25-22 win in the opening set and went on to win the second set by an identical 25-22 count. The Black and Gold finished off the Blue Knights (13-15, 9-6) with a flourish, wrapping things up with a 25-14 blowout in the third set.
Bertie led all players with a match-high 17 kills while Sadecky had a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Byrge led all players with 28 assists to go along with 4 kills, a block and a service ace.
Courtney Pyeritz was charted with a match-high 17 digs.
The West Liberty women close out the regular season on the road next week with a Tuesday night match at Fairmont State and a Thursday night match at Shepherd.
