Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team suffered its second frustrating loss in less than 24 hours here Saturday afternoon as Fairmont State escaped with a 3-2 win after nearly two hours of Mountain East Conference volleyball at the ASRC.
Coach Kayla Fetsko's Hilltoppers (5-12, 3-3) opened the match with a 25-18 win in the first set only to see the Falcons (13-4, 5-2) rebound to win the next two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-19. West Liberty forced a fifth and deciding set with a convincing 25-17 nod in the fourth set only to see Fairmont win 11 of the final 13 points in the fifth set en route to a 15-6 decision. The West Liberty women hit the MEC road on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. match at Glenville State.
