URBANA, Ohio – The unbeaten and No. 1-ranked West Liberty University men's basketball team hit a school-record 30 3-pointers Saturday afternoon in rolling to a 133-92 victory against Urbana in Mountain East Conference action at the Grimes Center.

Coach Jim Crutchfield's Hilltoppers (16-0, 12-0) put the game out of reach early, going 16-for-32 from behind the 3-point arc in the first 20 minutes to build an insurmountable 60-35 halftime lead.
With the host Blue Knights (0-16, 0-12) still sitting back in a zone defense, West Liberty shifted into another gear at the start of the second 20-minute frame.
The Hilltoppers swished an eye-popping 11 of their first 15 3-point field goal tries in the second half. Keene Cockburn's bomb from the top of the key with 9:49 on the clock capped that spectacular run and pushed the West Liberty lead to 105-66.
The Black and Gold cooled off a bit down the stretch but still had enough to break the previous school single-game record of 29 3-pointers, set earlier this season in a 141-105 rout of Point Park (Pa.) on Nov. 18 at the ASRC.
Devin Hoehn did the honors on Saturday, splashing home West Liberty's 30th 3-pointer of the day with 4:30 still showing on the second half clock.
The Hilltoppers shot a season-best 54.5 percent (30-of-55) from behind the arc and nearly matched that from the floor, hitting 54.1 percent (48-for-85) of their field goal attempts. Urbana shot 50.7 percent (34-of-67) from the floor but was just 3-for-14 (21.4 percent) on 3-point tries.
Cedric Harris had 22 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 3-pointers and 4 steals in just 21 minutes of action to lead West Liberty. Seger Bonifant added 21 points with a game-high 6 3-pointers to go along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
C.J. Hester had a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards while Kelvin Goodwin and Devin Hoehn finished with 17 and 16 points, respectively, off the bench. Shawn Dyer scored 13 points while handing out a game-high 8 assists and Cockburn rounded out the double-figure scorers with 10 points.
Danny Goins' game-high 29 points paced four double-figure scorers for Urbana.
The Hilltoppers return home to host Notre Dame (OH) on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at the ASRC.
