Box Score INSTITUTE, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball rolled to a 3-1 victory against West Virginia State here at Fleming Hall on Saturday.
Coach Kayla Fetsko's Hilltoppers (6-8, 1-2) split the first two games with the Yellow Jackets (3-9, 0-2) before sweeping the final two games by scores of 25-23 and 25-21 to wrap up the win.
Rachel Zeigler and Chelsea Bertie led the way for West Liberty. Zeigler pounded home a match-high 17 kills while Bertie stuffed the stat sheet with 13 kills, 13 digs, a service ace and a pair of blocks. Paige Warner weighed in with 10 kills and 3 blocks, Chelsea Byrge posted a match-high 33 assists and Nicole Sadecky led WLU with 14 digs.
The Hilltopper spikers will be off until Friday when they host Concord in a 7 p.m. match at the ASRC.
