Box Score SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team couldn't bounce back from an early deficit and dropped a 3-1 decision at Notre Dame (OH) in Mountain East Conference action here Friday night.
The host Falcons (5-24, 3-11) got off to a fast start, winning the first two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-17, before the Hilltoppers (11-16, 6-7) gutted out a 28-26 decision in the third set. Notre Dame finished off the match with a 25-22 win in fourth set.
Chelsea Bertie and
Rachel Zeigler led West Liberty in kills with 11 and 10, respectively.
Nicole Sadecky added 9 kills, 14 digs and a blocked shot while
Peyton Miller had 8 kills, 2 service aces and a pair of blocks.
Chelsea Byrge turned in a double-double with 24 assists and 14 digs while
Courtney Pyeritz had a match-high 22 digs.
The West Liberty women will try to get back on track Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Urbana.
