West Liberty Women Sweep Glenville State

WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team made short work of Glenville State Friday afternoon, sweeping three sets from the Pioneers in Mountain East Conference action at the ASRC.

Coach Kayla Fetsko's Hilltoppers (8-13, 3-5) took the opening set by a 25-21 score and followed that up with a 25-22 win in the second set before closing out the match with a 25-16 romp in the third and final set.

Rachel Zeigler had 10 kills and a pair of blocks for West Liberty while Chelsea Bertie added 9 kills, 2 service aces and a block. Emily Mellie weighed in with 7 kills, an ace and 3 blocks with Paige Warner notching 6 kills, 14 digs, an ace and a block. Chelsea Byrge had 17 assists and 11 digs.

The Hilltoppers close out their non-conference schedule on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. match at Pitt-Johnstown.
