Tough Loss for WLU Volleyball Team

Box Score WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team came out on the short end of three tightly-played sets here Tuesday night in a Mountain East Conference loss to third-place West Virginia Wesleyan at the ASRC.
Coach Kayla Fetsko's Hilltoppers (7-13, 2-5) took the Bobcats (7-13, 5-1) to the wire in all three sets but couldn't get over the hump as the visitors prevailed by scores of 25-23, 26-24 and 25-22.
Rachel Zeigler led West Liberty with 8 kills and 2 blocks. Paige Warner and Nicole Sadecky added 6 blocks each and Sadecky chimed in with 4 blocks, as well. Emily Mellie had a match-high 7 blocks for the hosts while Chelsea Byrge led all players with 23 assists to go along with 14 digs, Courtney Pyeritz topped the 'Toppers with 16 digs.
West Liberty hosts Glenville State Friday at 4 p.m.
