GREENSBURG, Pa. – The West Liberty University softball team dropped both ends of a West Virginia Conference doubleheader at Seton Hill on Sunday by scores of 9-3 and 8-3.

Maggie Starr belted a pair of solo homers to pace the Hilltoppers (7-25, 2-6) in the opener but it wasn't enough to overcome the Griffins (11-18, 6-4), who scored four runs in the bottom of the second and never looked back.

Felicia Hulslander backed Starr with three singles while Julianne Wanda added a pair of hits and Stacy Sumner had an RBI base knock.

Another four-run inning by Seton Hill doomed West Liberty in the second game as Seton Hill erased a 3-2 Hilltopper lead with a four-run rally in the bottom of the third and went on to complete the sweep.

Sumner drove in a run for the Hilltoppers with a double and single while Irene Fadul added a pair of hits. Leanna McMillen had a double and an RBI while Jennifer Young chipped in with a run-scoring single.

West Liberty hosts Charleston on Tuesday in a 3 p.m. doubleheader at the WLU Softball Complex.
