WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – A little home cooking must have agreed with the West Liberty University volleyball team Friday night as Coach Brooke Turner's Hilltoppers swept a quick three-game match with Bluefield State at the ASRC.

    West Liberty (5-7, 2-2) snapped its two-match WVIAC road losing skid in impressive fashion with a 25-9, 25-12, 25-11 romp past the winless Big Blues (0-7, 0-2).

    Rachel Ziegler led the Hilltoppers with a match-high 9 kills while Anne Edwards added 8 kills and 4 blocks. Alexandra Kowalski chipped in with 5 kills, 2 blocks and a team-high 5 digs while Gabbie Davis led all players with 21 assists.

    The Hilltoppers remain at home for a non-conference match on Tuesday against NAIA power Ohio Dominican. The match is set for a 7 p.m. start at the ASRC.
