WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. – The West Liberty University women's volleyball team got back to the .500 mark in West Virginia Conference play Tuesday night with a 3-0 romp past Glenville State at the ASRC.
Coach Brooke Turner's Lady Hilltoppers (6-9, 3-3) blasted the Pioneers (2-15, 0-6) by scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-16.
Rachel Ziegler paced West Liberty with a dozen kills,
Melissa Pierzchala added 7 kills and 6 digs and
Anne Edwards chipped in with 5 kills and 4 blocks.
Gabbie Davis and
Chelsea Byrge finished with 14 and 13 assists, respectively, while
Haylee Strause was charted with a match-high 12 digs.
The Hilltoppers return to the ASRC on Thursday for a 7 p.m. match against defending WVIAC champion Wheeling Jesuit.
