BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – Unbeaten and No. 1-ranked West Liberty stretched its winning streak to 13 games here Saturday afternoon with a 116-65 blowout of Bluefield State in a West Virginia Conference game at Ned Shott Gym.
After spotting the Big Blues (1-12, 1-8) an early basket off the opening tip, the Hilltoppers (13-0, 9-0) ran off 15 unanswered points in a 4-minute burst which put the visitors in complete control.
West Liberty built a 49-29 halftime lead and continued to pull away throughout the second half with the 51-point final margin marking the largest lead of the day.
John Wolosinczuk led six double-figure scorers for the Hilltoppers with a game-high 18 points, which included a 4-for-6 showing from behind the 3-point arc.
Corey Pelle added 16 points and a game-high 8 assists while
Jordan Fortney tossed in 15 points.
Alex Falk and
Chris Morrow chipped in with a dozen each while
Barry Shetzer drained a trio of 3-pointers to round out the double-digit scorers with 11 points.
Branden Fisher was the lone player to reach double-figures for Bluefield State with 14 points, all of them coming in the first half.
The high-flying Hilltoppers' road swing continues Wednesday night when they travel to Greensburg, Pa. for an 8 p.m. tipoff against Seton Hill.

X Wolosinczuk is hot on Shetzer's heels. His four 3-pointers on Saturday put the 6-7 senior at 209 for his career, tying him for No. 3 all-time with Corey McDuffie
