WHEELING, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to powerful Wheeling Jesuit Wednesday night in a West Virginia Conference match at the Cardinals' McDonough Center.
Wheeling Jesuit (14-3, 4-0) – which has now won 171 of its last 178 WVIAC matches dating back to 1999 – swept all three games by scores of 25-13, 25-12 and 25-18.
Rachel Ziegler had a team-high 6 kills for the visiting Hilltoppers while Abby McCreery had 11 assists and Jennifer Torrence had 9 digs.
Coach Brooke Turner's West Liberty squad heads to the Eastern Panhandle on Saturday for a triangular against Shepherd and Point Park (Pa.) at the Butcher Athletic Center in Shepherdstown, W.Va.
