VIENNA, W.Va. – The West Liberty University volleyball team moved over the .500 mark in West Virginia Conference play Monday night with a 3-1 road victory against Ohio Valley University at the Snyder Activity Center.

The teams split the first two games with the Hilltoppers (7-5, 2-1) winning the opener by a 25-23 count before the Fighting Scots (0-12, 0-4) pulled out a 25-22 nod in Game Two. It was all West Liberty the rest of the way as the visitors swept the next two games 25-21 and 25-23 to close out the match.

Melissa Pierzchala had a match-high 16 kills for Coach Brooke Turner's visitors while Rachel Ziegler knocked down 10 kills. Abby McCreery was charted with 26 assists while Jennifer Torrence added 17 digs. Brittany Albanese weighed in with 15 assists and 6 digs.

The Hilltoppers head to Greensburg, Pa. on Thursday for a 7 p.m. non-conference match against NCAA Division II Pitt-Greensburg.
