Rileigh Gualtiere scored both of the West Liberty goals on Sunday to earn the team's first conference win of the season over Alderson Broaddus, 2-1. She took two shots in the match and that would be all she needed, putting both in the back of the net.
The first goal came in the 29th minute off a deflected centering pass that bounced to the 10-yard mark and Gualtiere was right there to kick it in. After AB tied things late in the first half, the sophomore from Wintersville, Ohio was at it again. In the 67th minute, she put the Hilltoppers on top after battling for possession of a free kick dropped inside the box.
Gualtiere was one of three MEC players with two goals in a match this week, but the only to have her second be a game winning goal.
