Shon Stephens made two interceptions in Football's season opening win at Clarion last Thursday night. The junior defensive back's first interception of the night was a pick six with just 30 seconds left in the first half to put the Hilltoppers up 21-7 at the break. The pick six proved to be the game-winning score for West Liberty in the contest. Stephens' second interception was arguably a game-saver. It came in the endzone at the beginning of the fourth quarter on a 2nd-and-2 for Clarion from the two yard line. He also added two solo tackles and returned a pair of Clarion kicks for a total of 66 yards.
