PRINCETON, W.Va. – The West Liberty University athletic department had several student-athletes ranked among the West Virginia Conference's top academic performers on Monday when the WVIAC released the 2012-13 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Led by West Liberty's Male and Female Scholar-Athletes of the Year – Ivan Irazabal and Stacy Sumner – a total of 18 Hilltoppers from nine different sports were named to the league's academic honor roll.
The WVIAC Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes in their junior or senior seasons who maintained a grade point average of 3.30 or better during the semester in which their sport was concluded.
The Male and Female Scholar-Athletes were the individuals from each school who maintained the highest grade-point average throughout the academic year.
Irazabal was a senior who played No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles on Coach Sam McCullough's men's tennis team. A two-time All-WVIAC standout, he hails from Temixco, Mexico.
Sumner was a hard-hitting junior catcher on Coach Jim Bacca's softball team. The Hilltoppers' second-leading hitter with a .333 batting average, the Toledo, Ohio native led WLU with 6 home runs.
Following is a list of West Liberty's 18 Honor Roll selections:
