TORNADO, W. Va. – Wheeling Jesuit overcame a three-shot deficit after the first round to post an overall score of 667, winning the title by a mere stroke over second-place West Liberty.
WLU totaled a 339-329 for a 668 for its second-place finish. Concord recorded a third-place effort (344-3330-677).
CU’s Marina Erice claimed the individual title by notching a combined 151 on the par-72, 5,858-yard course. WLU’s Haygen Mowder notched silver by posting a 78-79-157. CU’s Vivian Garciaferro totaled a 158 for third place. WV Wesleyan accounted for a 162 (82-80) for fourth place while WJU’s top finisher was Julie Hirauk, who tallied a 163 over two rounds for fifth.
WJU’s Whitney Young and Erin Metzger, along with WLU’s Emily Taylor, all tied for sixth with a two-round score of 165. OVU’s Jennifer Smith garnered ninth with a two-round score of 167. FSU’s Nicole Smith rounded out the top 10 with 169.
Emily Taylor earned the league’s Player of the Year honors.
