West Liberty University Athletics

Freddie Fitzsimmons heads into his second season as head coach of the West Liberty University women's golf program after taking over the Hilltopper program in 2025.

A 2020 West Liberty graduate, Fitzsimmons was a four-year member of the Hilltopper men's golf team from 2016-20. During his collegiate career, he competed in the 2018 and 2019 Mountain East Conference Championships while earning a reputation for his strong work ethic and team-first approach.

With deep ties to the program, Fitzsimmons is committed to building a culture of success both on the course and in the classroom. His experience as a Hilltopper student-athlete, combined with his passion for West Liberty golf, continues to guide the women's program as it works toward sustained growth and success.
