A former NCAA Division II regional place-winner and national qualifier on the hilltop, Chase Logan begins his first season as an assistant coach with Coach Danny Irwin’s nationally-ranked West Liberty University wrestling program.
Logan wrestled for three seasons at nearby Wheeling University but transferred to West Liberty for his final collegiate season in 2019-20. The hard-nosed 285-pounder battled back through the consolation rounds to qualify for the 2020 NCAA Division II Nationals with a third-place finish at the Super Regional but missed out on the opportunity to compete for a national title when the NCAA canceled the 2020 championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Greensburg, Pa. native was a Pennsylvania state qualifier and WPIAL runner-up at Hempfield Area (Pa.) High School before beginning his collegiate career at Wheeling. He graduated from West Liberty in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.
