Former NCAA Division II All-American and NWCA national champion Darius Bunch returns for his second season as a graduate assistant with Coach Danny Irwin’s nationally-ranked West Liberty wrestling program.
Bunch was the 2016 NWCA national champion at 133 pounds as a true freshman at Emmanuel (Ga.) University and earned NCAA Division II All-America honors with a fourth-place finish at 133 pounds in the 2018 NCAA Nationals after transferring to West Liberty. He finished the regular season ranked No. 2 in the country at 141 pounds in 2020.
The son of Darius Bunch Sr. and Krysti Huggins, Darius graduated from West Liberty with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is currently working toward his master’s in Entrepreneurship.
