Cam Timok

After two highly-successful seasons as a graduate assistant, two-time NCAA Division III All-American Cam Timok begins his first season as the full-time head assistant coach with Coach Danny Irwin’s nationally-ranked West Liberty University wrestling powerhouse.
Timok has played a key role in the West Liberty wrestling program's emergence as an NCAA Division II power. During his two years as a graduate assistant, the Hilltoppers won back-to-back Mountain East Conference and NCAA Division II Super Region 3 championships.
The Black and Gold followed those titles up with strong runs at the NCAA Division II Nationals, finishing fourth at the 2021 finals and returning home with the third-place trophy this past spring. The Hilltoppers have produced nine NCAA Division II All-Americans and three national champions during Timok’s two years on staff.
Timok earned NCAA Division III All-America honors at 125 and 133 pounds and posted a sparkling 72-12 record while competing at Central College in Pella, Iowa. He was a four-time state placer at Hermitage (Va.) High School in Richmond, highlighting his career with a 40-2 record and a Virginia state championship in 2013.
After graduating from Central, Timok spent one season as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Virginia Military Institute before making his way to the hilltop. Timok earned his bachelor's degree at Central College and completed his master's degree at West Liberty in the spring.
