Former All-American pole vaulter Danielle Stewart was announced as the program’s Pole Vault Coach in July of 2022.
Stewart joins the staff after spending one year as the Pole Vault Coach at Wheeling University, where she coached the MEC champion in women’s indoor and outdoor pole vault.
The Wheeling University graduate earned numerous awards on the track and in the classroom during her collegiate career. She was a four-time MEC pole vault champion and earned All-American status her senior year.
Stewart was a two-time COSIDA Academic All-American and All-District honoree. As a nursing major, she collected four years of academic honors from the MEC and was awarded the MEC Spring Senior Career Achievement Award in 2020.
A Strongsville, Ohio native, she has returned to her hometown in the past to volunteer time assisting the Strongsville High School pole vaulters.
Danielle also currently works as a nurse in Wheeling, W.Va.
