    Veteran soccer coach Pat Zambito returns for his third season as an assistant on West Liberty head women’s coach Barry Christmas’s staff.
    Zambito, who also served as an assistant to Christmas at Bethany (W.Va.) College, had been working as coaching director of the Wesley Chapel (Fla.) Soccer Club and director of its premier Junior Academy program before reuniting with Christmas on the hilltop.
    The Hilltopper assistant worked with Bethany’s men’s and women’s programs while still a student at the college and was a staff coach with the Bethany Soccer Camps. Zambito earned his “A” coaching license from the U.S. Soccer Federation in 1990, the same year he was hired as head boys’ soccer coach at Linsly School in Wheeling. He was the 1992 OVAC Soccer Coach of the Year after leading the Cadets to the school’s first OVAC and Interstate Prep Schools League championships.
    In addition to his coaching stints at Linsly, Bethany and Wesley Chapel, Zambito also served on the first coaching staff of the Wheeling Soccer Club (FC Wheeling United) and was Director of Coaching for the Weirton Force Soccer Club, West Virginia Soccer Association and the West Virginia Olympic Development Program. Zambito also worked with the Virginia and Florida ODP programs
    A 1991 graduate of Bethany College, Zambito and his wife, Debbie, enjoy spending time with their two dogs, Shae and Beasley, and their cat.
