Theo Mancheron

    A 5-time NCAA Division II All-American who has competed successfully at the international level, Theo Mancheron begins his first season as an assistant coach with West Liberty’s rapidly expanding track and field program.
    Mancheron, a native of Saint Malo, France who competed collegiately at Tiffin (Ohio), finished second in the decathlon at the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Nationals and earned All-America honors in the pole vault at the same meet.
    A 6-time GLIAC champion (indoor and outdoor) in the decathlon, heptathlon and pole vault at Tiffin, he was named Field Athlete of the Year at the 2015 GLIAC Indoor Championships when he won the pole vault and set a conference record in the heptathlon.
    He played a key role in leading Tiffin to the 2016 NCAA Division II National Indoor Championship and was a student assistant coach in 2017 when the Dragons successfully defended that crown.
    After graduating from Tiffin, Mancheron was hired as a full-time assistant with NAIA national track power Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla. Working with the Seahawks’ multis, sprints, hurdles and relays, Mancheron helped Keiser finish third at the 2018 NAIA Indoor Championships with seven student-athletes earning NAIA All-America honors.
    The French native has also competed internationally for the French National Team and posted a second-place finish in the 2015 French National Championships.
