Prior to WLU: Played one year at Chico State in Chico, California.

High School: Played at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Calif....... He is the school's all-time goal scorer......served as team captain for two years.

Off the field: Shaiya is the son of Liberty Belle, he has three siblings, Skeebo Henry, Sahana Slack and Cassie Slack.......... He will major in Marketing  and General Business with a minor in Fashion, Theater.
