2025 (FRESHMAN)
Competed in six meets during his freshman season for the Hilltoppers, setting career-best times in both the 8K and 10K.
NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships (Nov. 8, 2025): Finished 118th overall in the 10K with a career-best time of 35:02.2.
Mountain East Conference Championships (Oct. 25, 2025): Placed 48th in the 8K with a time of 28:46.6.
CMU Invitational (Oct. 11, 2025): Recorded a career-best 8K time of 27:42.1, placing 106th.
Louisville Classic (Oct. 4, 2025): Finished the 8K in 28:59.7, in a nationally competitive field.
Bethany Invitational (Sept. 13, 2025): Placed 23rd in the 8K with a time of 29:46.5.
West Liberty Invitational (Sept. 4, 2025): Opened his collegiate career with a 48th-place finish in the 6K, posting a time of 21:19.5.
High School: Ran for Barnesville High School. During his prep career, he earned numerous honors in both cross country and track & field, including qualifying for the OVAC Championships, OVAC 3200-meter finals, and regional competition in 2025. He was named Barnesville's Top Distance Runner in 2025, earned All-OVAC honors, helped lead his team to the 2024 MOVL Track & Field Championship, was an All-League cross country selection in 2023, and helped Barnesville win the 2022 OVAC Cross Country Championship. Posted a personal-best 5K time of 17:34.
Off the Course: Shepherd is the son of Kevin and Jenny Richey... He has one sister, Sloane... His mother, Jenny, played basketball at Wheeling University... He is majoring in Broadcasting.
