2026 Men's Cross Country Roster
Biography
Prior to WLU: Attended Glenville State University, where he competed in cross country and track & field under head coach Dan Meyers. Helped the Pioneers place fourth at the Mountain East Conference Outdoor Championships and was part of the runner-up team in the Blue Race at the Louisville Cross Country Classic.
High School: Competed in cross country, basketball and track & field at Frankfort High School under coaches Woody Snowberger, Scott Slider and Juan Phillips. Helped lead the Falcons to a WVSSAC Class AA state championship in cross country, two state runner-up finishes in cross country and a state runner-up finish in track & field. Earned Second Team All-State honors in cross country as both a junior and senior while also being a two-time All-PVC, All-Area and All-Region selection.
Off the Course: Darius is the son of Bernetta Winans and has one sister, Kianna Perez. He is majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Coaching.
