Competed in four meets during his freshman season for the Hilltoppers, recording a career-best 8K performance at the CMU Invitational.
Mountain East Conference Championships (Oct. 25, 2025): Placed 66th in the 8K with a time of 30:03.1.
CMU Invitational (Oct. 11, 2025): Posted a career-best 8K time of 27:58.2, finishing 111th.
Louisville Classic (Oct. 4, 2025): Finished the 8K in 28:51.8, in a nationally competitive field.
West Liberty Invitational (Sept. 4, 2025): Opened his collegiate career with a 43rd-place finish in the 6K, posting a time of 21:01.1.
High School: Ran for Parkersburg High School in Parkersburg, W.Va.... Two-time WVSSAC State Cross Country qualifier... Earned All-MSAC and All-Region honors... Posted a personal-best 5K time of 16:32.
Off the Course: Christian is the son of Chris and Sherri Rutherford... He has two siblings, Ethan and Katie Rutherford... He is majoring in Counseling Psychology.
